Jennifer Berg

Violinist Jennifer Berg is currently in her fourth season with the Flint Symphony Orchestra. An active performer, she is also a tenured member of the Ann Arbor Symphony and performs regularly with the Lansing Symphony and additional orchestras of southeast Michigan. An enthusiastic teacher, Jennifer teaches about thirty students privately in Ann Arbor and at Expressions Music Academy in Novi. Previously, she was a Sphinx Overture Instructor, teaching in the Flint afterschool programs. Jennifer is originally from the Twin Cities area of Minnesota, where she completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Minnesota.  She moved to Michigan to attend the other UM, completing her Masters in Violin Performance at the University of Michigan. Jennifer served as concertmaster at both UM orchestras and has performed with the New World Symphony. During summer seasons, she has performed in music festivals in Santa Barbara (CA), Breckenridge (CO), Colorado Springs (CO), Chautauqua (NY), Medomak (ME), and Pilsen (Czech Republic). One of her favorite musical memories was performing and sharing classical music with students in Bermuda. She also enjoys running and Thai food. Jennifer feels privileged to be a part of the artistic excellence of the FSO, where the raw joy and passion of music continuously inspires musicians and audiences.
