About Flint Symphony Orchestra

The Flint Symphony Orchestra is one of the finest orchestras of its size in the nation. Its rich 105-year history as a cultural icon in the community is a testament to the dedication to world-class performances from the musicians and Flint and Genesee County audiences alike. The Flint Symphony Orchestra has been performing under the baton of Maestro Enrique Diemecke for 34 years one of the longest tenures for a Music Director in the country. Under Maestro Diemecke's unwavering musical integrity and commitment to the community, the Flint Symphony Orchestra has connected with audiences throughout southeast Michigan, delivering outstanding artistry and excellence.

Did you know that not all of our musicians are from Flint - or even Michigan? Our talented orchestra members join us from across the country as well as Canada!

Maestro Diemecke brings an electrifying balance of passion, intellect and technique to his FSO performances for more than 34 seasons.

The Flint Symphony Chorus is a dynamic, 75 member volunteer chorus under the direction of Nada Radakovich and Jeffrey Walker. The Chorus presents several performances of major choral works each season.
